We're making it!

I am seeing a lot more of this place these days...

My classroom has become my home again, and yesterday I welcomed my ninth batch of 3rd graders (28 of them!).  We are all trying to get into the swing of things.  Early mornings, lunched packed, homework done, etc.  I have to say, I was worried about getting it all done, but Jeff has been so helpful and mornings have been smooth.

Along with my cross country practice, Lil has also been having swim lessons.  Here she is with her cousin. She really likes lessons (although she is frustrated because she is stuck on a level).  It is so much running around though, and I might be a little happy when they are done :)

Not getting to see enough of this ham!  Oh P!  Such a handful!

School Girl

Isn't she the cutest kindergartner you have ever seen?  Lily has completed her first three days of school and really seems to be enjoying it. I have to admit, I had a weird feeling the night before thinking about dropping her off at school for an entire day.  I just can't believe that past five years have gone so fast.  Jeff and I were both able to take her the first day and help her get settled.  I know she will love school, and I look forward to watching her learn so many new things this year!

Yes, we did stop at Mimi and Papaw's house so they could see her before her first day.  And yes, my dad did get her a card and balloon. :)

Her very own locker!

Already hard a work (she knows she better be the best behaved student in the class with a mom for a teacher!)

Lazy days are gone...

Well people.  This is it.  The final days of summer.  It was fun while it lasted.  Playground, pool, lounging around days are no longer.  What great memories though.  I am so blessed to have this time with my kids!

Last week, I took the cross country team to the Indiana Dunes by Lake Michigan.  What a beautiful place.  Our days were filled with hard running (the sand dunes are tough) and good times bonding as a team.  Our first meet is next week!

Yes.  My sister is a SENIOR!  WHAT?

Too cute not to post!

One last date night of the summer...Jeff's birthday!  We enjoyed a night at the restaurant my brother manages, The Northside Social, in Broadripple.  So delicious!

And, can you believe it?  Lily starts kindergarten tomorrow?  I will do a first day of school post (if I stop crying long enough).  I really can't believe she will be in school ALL DAY LONG!  She will be awesome, and I know she will learn a ton!

Summer Lovin', Had me a Blast!

We haven't gone anywhere this summer, but I have really been okay with that.  Don't get me wrong, the beach would be GREAT but staying home without an agenda is nice.  It is hard to believe it is August and school will be in full swing soon.  I am really trying to enjoy my last weeks of freedom.

I haven't posted in a while, so here is a recap of some things going on...

My friend invited me to do the Indy color run with her last minute.  We had a ton of fun and got very messy!

Jeff and I were able to go out and enjoy our friends!

I have been spending time with my babies!  Lily and I had a girl's night at the Fairy event at Minnetrista.  It was so cute seeing all the girls dressed up.  She is growing up, and she won't always like events like this, so I tried to soak it in!  We walked around and looked for fairy houses.  We watched a play, and Lily even made a postcard for Tinkerbell!

These are my two goofballs :)

Lily went with Mimi for the week to Dayton, so it has been Parker time!  Love his sweet, little rotten face!!

21st century toddler...

And, even though Jeff is working like 1,000 hours a week, he has managed to work on our firepit.  Almost done!!  Talented, talented man!!!

I also just finished a week and a half of summer school.  Cross country camp next week...let the craziness begin!
