Parker James

From the very beginning we have been in love with this sweet little boy!  It is hard to believe two years have gone so fast.

Happy Birthday to our Parker James.  Thanks for making our lives so full of love and laughter!

Choo! Choo! Parker is 2!

This afternoon, we celebrated Parker's second birthday with friends and family.  His actual birthday is tomorrow, but we were able to party today!  We had a great time, and were blessed with a beautiful day.  Thanks to everyone who came to celebrate with us.  A special thanks to my good friend, Jeanie.  She ordered the bandanas and train conductor hats and made the cupcakes. They were delicious! And of course my sister, Sarah.  Who was helping me clean my house and prepare food this morning!  I would never pull this stuff off by myself :)

The Quinn Reds Jersey from Aunt Holly, Uncle Eric, Callie, and Evan was a hit!  So cute!!

Family Day (and some other random stuff)

For a year now, we have been helping to paint my parents' house.  Well, today, we celebrated the completion of this major project with a party!  We had lunch there with family and then headed to the Washington Street Festival (such a fun street festival to showcase historic homes in our downtown).  It was nice to enjoy some time with everyone!

Fuzzy pick-but he loved the trolly ride!

My brother, Stephen, put together a nice spread!

And a couple of home projects (because what would Jeff and I do with ourselves if we weren't constantly tearing things apart)...

This is our breezeway (the space between our garage and home).  We call it the "dog room" because they stay in there.  It is also the future sight of our laundry/mudroom.  First step...tear out disgusting indoor/outdoor carpet.

Jeff put down vinyl flooring because of the extreme hot/cold temps out there.  Weren't sure ceramic tile would hold up, but I like this pretty well.  It will look much better when the walls are done.

Love this new fire pit!  The pit is made of pavers that were left by the previous owners.  Jeff hand made the benches from wood in our yard.  He is awesome!  Can't wait for a fire!!

I made these gifts for the staff at Lily's school. The PTO does teacher appreciation every month, and I came up with this (okay-I stole it from Pinterest)!  Wish my school did this for me!

I'm alive...

...barely!  It has been a busy couple of weeks.  I am trying to learn how to juggle work, coaching, and now all of little lady's school activities.  Slowly but surely we are working into a routine (however crazy it may be).  I cherish the moments I have to see my kiddos, and it was great to have a long weekend.

I am so proud that Lily has learned to tie shoes, mastered her address, and knows my phone number.  These are three of the things that she needs to learn for her K assessment this semester.  She is so smart :)

Poor P wasn't feeling himself this week, so we went to the doc in a box yesterday.  Thankfully, he was prescribed some medicine, and he is back to being his wild self.  Cannot believe he will be two this month!! AHHH!

Loved seeing all my siblings this weekend!  We even got mom and dad's house painted!!  It has been a year long process, but everything is looking great.  It is a beautiful BUT BIG house :)

We were able to get another swim in this weekend.  It may be getting close to our last :(.  Hard to believe fall is around the corner!

A few pics to post...hopefully a better post to come!
