Easter!

Good morning! I left Lily's hair wild on purpose-hey, we had to wait a long time for bedhead!

The Easter Bunny came to the Swans'

Papaw and Mimi brought Lily and Ty their very first tennis rackets! Lily wouldn't stop running long enough to get a picture, but Ty was a pro!

Sarah and I-her very last pregnancy picture! She looks fabulous by the way!

Egg coloring started off a little hairy! Lily and Ty (because there were no naps yesterday or today) argued a bit about who the colors belonged to...things turned out good though!

We were very blessed to spend the day with family in Dayton. Since Sarah is about to pop any day, we brought the party to her. We went to Mass this morning. I always enjoy hearing her priest speak. He did such a great job talking about Jesus and the meaning today. Then, my mom, dad, Hannah, Aaron, Stephen, Pat's mom, dad, and brother came up for lunch. The food was great (we even had homemade carrot cake)! What a wonderful day to celebrate!

16 Weeks

Here I am at 16 weeks pregnant! I can't believe how fast time is flying by. I would forget I was pregnant (if it weren't for my tightening pants) because I am so busy with grad school, teaching, and Lily. I feel pretty good. No complaints!

Lily wanted a 16 week picture too! I can't believe how grown up she is. We are on our way out the door to head to Dayton. She is so happy to see Ty. Happy Easter everyone!

Happy Birthday Sarah!

I just wanted to wish my sister a happy 30th birthday! She is the best big sister anyone could ask for. Can't wait to see you tomorrow!

Things I Love :)

Shopping...for anything really, especially if it includes clothes for me and Lily!

T.V. I know, I know! I should be reading books or managing finances or cleaning instead, but good television is like therapy.

Sunshine! We are starting to see some, but winter was way too long and recently we have had gloomy, stormy days. Please come out to stay!

Sleeping...I used to take sleep for granted (before child that is). Why didn't I sleep more? I should have saved up. For the past 3+ years, I haven't slept an entire night (unless I have been out of town without Lily). Don't get me wrong. I love her dearly, but this next baby better be a good sleeper!

Target! This goes up with shopping. Target just sucks you in. I leave with things I didn't even know I could use. It all starts with those dollar bins right when you walk in the door.

PIZZA KING! Yum, yum, yum. If you aren't a Muncie native, you may not understand this passion for overpriced pizza. All I can say is Jeff and I ring the king more than we should!

So, random post I know, but here it is anyways! Notice it said "things I love" not "people I love," so all of my favorite people out there-know that you would be on that post!

***PS: Today, we finally had our ISTEP pep rally! I got up and rapped "ISTEP Baby" in front of all the 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. They better do well on the test next week!

Check-up

I went to the doctor today for my regular monthly check-up. Everything went great (it was a fast visit). Good weight and blood pressure. I also got to hear the baby's heartbeat again. They found it fast, and he or she was moving around a bit. The heart rate was 158. I go back on May 12th and then will schedule my ultra sound for 22 weeks (about 7 weeks from now). It is comforting to know things are going smoothly! Now, I just am waiting for the arrival of my new nephew and new niece OR nephew!!

14 Weeks

I am now in my second trimester! I go to the doctor next week, so I will post about how things are going with Baby Q after that. Hopefully, everything is going perfectly normal :) Until then, here are some facts about my first trimester.

How far along?:
14 weeks

Size of Baby: about 3 1/2 inches and 1 1/2 ounces (so why is my belly already sticking out so far...who knows?!)

Total Weight Gain: around 5 lbs

Cravings: Salty foods (or basically anything that is unhealthy, but what's new?!)

Symptoms: Nausea...this is getting better, but I still had a few days this week that were bad. I also have tired moments (my 3 year old and 22 third graders also contribute to this). I have noticed that more than getting sick, I have started to feel dizzy and light-headed. Otherwise, I am starting to feel better and more energetic then I was the first few months. I have even managed to run a few times this week.

Lily insisted on having a picture too (with her bunnies)

Farm Days

We decided to visit farm days at the Delaware County Fairgrounds yesterday. On Tuesday and Wednesday, they put on programs about farm life. Lily enjoyed the petting zoo, playing in the hay, and playing on the bleachers. My mom, sister, and mother-in-law came too. Holly, Eric, and Callie even came. It was a nice, FREE thing to do on a warm evening!

Happy 1st Birthday Avery!

Our youngest niece is turning one tomorrow! I cannot believe how fast time flies...seems like we were just visiting her at the hospital in Columbus. We look forward to celebrating with everyone on Sunday! Happy Birthday Avery :)

The Three Pregnant Ladies...

This weekend, Sarah and our friend Sara (Watson) visited. Sara was our sorority sister and is a good friend still! We were happy she made the drive from Evansville to see us. I think she probably wished she had earplugs because Ty and Lily were wild!

Here is a picture of us after we went out to do dinner. I am due October 8th, Sara is due September 8th, and and Sarah will be having her baby the first week of May! It was fun to talk babies with people going through the same things you are. Although, this is Sara's first baby, and we might have scared her with some of our birthing stories :)
