Merry Christmas!

Lily used up all of her wildness yesterday and was very calm this morning! I think she would have been happy just to get her big horse and crawl back into bed. She did have fun opening everything, and has been playing "doctor" on all of her new toys. Lily's grandma Chris, Papaw Pat, and uncle Tony came over for breakfast and hung out for a little while. It has been a very relaxing Christmas! :) Merry Christmas to everyone and Happy Birthday Jesus! Enjoy this very magical day.

Christmas Eve

For the first time ever, my immediate family celebrated Christmas on Christmas Eve. Since Sarah and I have our own babies now, we knew this year, we would want to be home to start our own traditions (plus, Sarah and Pat are off to Aruba tomorrow!). We had lunch with my mom, dad, brothers, and sisters. Then, we exchanged gifts. My parents always do such a great job picking out gifts!

Lily got a doctor kit from Ty, Sarah, and Pat. She likes to use it with her animals.

Ty got lots of Toy Story stuff!

Jeff got a camo snuggie from Stephen!

Lily and Ty go sleeping bags from my parents. She is actually sleeping on the floor in it tonight because she loves it so much!

My mom and dad also got the kids DVD players for the car!

After 5:30 Mass, we headed to Nana's house for our annual Christmas Eve celebration. We enjoyed good food and great company! I am always reminded how fortunate I am to be surrounded by such a large, loving family :)

Here is the last picture from the night...Lily's gifts from Santa are out and ready for the morning! After reading, "Twas the Night Before Christmas," she even left milk and cookies for Santa and his elves! You are probably wondering why I am already posting pics. Well-I am trying to keep myself awake for midnight Mass! I am the reader at church, so I have to be ready to go!

Merry Christmas to all and to all a good night!

Merry Christmas Eve-Two Very Excited Kids!

As you can see, Lily and Ty are all smiles today! They had fun taking photos together :) Let the madness begin (first we have my parents, then church, then Nana's!).

Rice Crispy Houses

I bought a kit to make rice krispy treat houses-it sounded easier than a gingerbread house! I am watching my niece Callie today, so I thought that we be a fun project for the girls. The kit came with a house mold and decorating supplies.

Lily ate most of her candy before it got on the house, but here are the finished projects. It was a lot of fun!

Back with 2 Macs!

Last weekend, our basement sump pump went out. Luckily, my parents were here, and they replaced the pump for us. However, breakers were flipped and my desktop Mac wouldn't work. Jeff gave me my Christmas present early-an IPAD, so I wouldn't be without internet :) Luckily, our desktop was fixed with minimal cost...so we are back in action.

My last day of work is today-no students! It is always VERY wild the week before Christmas break. We made it through, and I am extremely excited to have 2 weeks off. Only a week before Christmas. I hope everyone is ready!!

Bass Pro Christmas

Last weekend, Sarah and I had our annual Christmas shopathon! We went to Dayton for the weekend and shopped all day Saturday. We even saw a movie (which never happens!). When the moms are away, the dads go to Bass Pro to play! This means Lily and Ty go too...luckily, Santa was there! I was pretty proud of Jeff for taking the camera and getting these pictures. I would say Lily and Ty are very lucky to have the dads they do!

I have been told that Ty was fighting back the tears here!

The Christmas Season Begins...

Happy Birthday Holly (sorry...1 day late!)

Avery is getting so big!

the 2 year olds...

Yesterday was my sister-in-law, Holly's, birthday! Her husband Eric made a wonderful dinner or fried turkey, potatoes, sweet potatoes, green bean casserole and tons more for us to eat and enjoy with the rest of the Quinns. It was nice to sit down and celebrate with them :) Thanks Eric and Holly for a wonderful evening!!
