7 Months

Is it possible? Parker is seven months old! As you can see in the pictures, he is sitting like such a big boy for long periods of time now.  He even sits up in the big bath now!  He reaches and grabs for things, although he is still pretty cautious about reaching for anything that might make him fall over.  He isn't mobile, and I am okay with that.  He loves his exersaucer and constantly jumps.  He has been going through some separation anxiety and wants his mommy all the time.  He sure does light up when he sees me, and it melts my heart-especially after a hard day of work.

Parker has gotten through all stage one baby foods.  I have made most of the vegetables at home.  He is now eating stage two.  He really loves pieces of bread, crackers, or pancakes, and I know it won't be long before he is just eating table food.  He still has a bottle or feeds about 5 times a day.

Sleeping is still hit or miss.  He is up every night at least once, sometimes three times.  Yes, I am tired, but I know it won't be forever.  He falls asleep around 7 or 7:30 in his bed and then we never know where the night will take us!  I do let him "cry it out" for long periods of time, but he doesn't ever seem to stay asleep.

Still no teeth!  I wish they would come in because he drools nonstop and uses everything as a chew toy.

I am excited to only have a few more weeks of school so that we can have fun this summer!

Happy Birthday Sarah! (and cute cousins)

Happy Birthday to my amazing big sister!  We shared a room most of our childhood, had weddings the same year, and have been pregnant for our kids at the same time.  I am so lucky to have you as my sister and friend.  Enjoy your day!

And I couldn't resist posting some of these cute pics...

Little Miss

It is easy to post often about Parker because he is changing every second, but I need to keep you updated on Lily! She is changing right before my eyes too. Last night, she even helped unload the dishwasher-and it was actually helpful! She kept saying, "I'm a good helper. Right, mom?"

Last week, my dad and I took her to the circus that came to town. It was great to go with just her because Parker is usually demanding so much of my time. She rode a pony and elephant. She ate popcorn and cotton candy, and she enjoyed seeing all the neat shows.

I took my camera, but the batteries were dead. Here are some iphone pics...and yes I had to ride the elephant because she would not go without me :)

Love this picture of my dad and Lily! He loves spending time with his grandkids and soaks up every second.

Last night, I also had Lily's parent/teacher conference. It was the first time I was on the other side of the conference! I am happy to say that she had a great report. Her teacher said she loves the art station (we knew that), especially GLUE! She said she does very detailed drawings. Academically, she knows everything she is supposed to and more! Her teacher wrote that she loves her smile and that Lily is gentle and kind. She enjoys having her.

I COULD NOT BE HAPPIER WITH HAZELWOOD! When I decided to send Lily, I wanted her to be in a place that made her love learning and school. It has done just that. She is learning knew things, and she loves going. As a teacher, there is nothing more important than getting a child excited about the learning process. They have fun AND teach good values and skills. I am blessed for this great experience.

Easter

Yesterday was a busy day! The kids woke up and Lily found a note from the Easter bunny. She found both baskets and was excited about her new movie and nail polish! Parker ate some of his baby food from his basket :)

Getting ready for church was so crazy that I didn't snap any good pictures of the kids in their Easter clothes. Here is one I snapped on my phone after church.

As soon as Mass was over, we headed to Uncle Tom's farm (Jeff's uncle) in Aurora, IN. It is a couple miles south. It is always fun to visit because there is so much for the kids to see. Lily loved the new baby goats. Tom told her she could take a pony home too. Now she really thinks that is happening.

The little goat thought Parker was a snack!

It was a beautiful day to celebrate Jesus' resurrection! The sun was shining and we were surrounded by family. We even celebrated Grandma and Grandpa Klump's 60th wedding anniversary! Can you believe it? That is a long time. They are really the model for a great relationship :)

Megan did Parker's six month pictures this past weekend. I know I say it every time, but THANK YOU Megan for capturing these precious moments in my children's lives! Six months is a fun age. Parker started sitting up for short amounts of time on his own. He is grabbing at everything-and everything goes right into his mouth. He is all smiles and giggles unless tired or hungry. He is cuddly and lovey and I am soaking it up! Still no teeth, but chewing everything. He has eaten bananas, sweet potatoes, pears, peaches, squash, and avocado (not a fan). Love, love, love this little boy!

The last few days...

Friday, we headed to Monkey Joe's for some bounce house fun with my SIL Holly and my niece and nephew, Callie and Evan. What a cool and fun place!

Late Friday afternoon, Jeff, the kids and I loaded up his truck and headed to Vevay. This is where Jeff's hunting cabin is (about 2.5 hours south). He has been wanting us to go with him, and I am glad we did. It was nice to share in something that is so important to him. It was chilly on Saturday, but Lily enjoyed 4-wheeler rides, blowing bubbles, and throwing things into the creek! It was great for her to spend so much time with Jeff.
