Happy Birthday Callie!

Our niece turned 4 today!  We were able to celebrate at her costume party birthday this past weekend.  It was a lot of fun!  Here is the Callie-Lily duo in their dress-up clothes.  Happy Birthday Little Princess :)

I had to post these comparison shots.  Lily eating her first birthday cake.  She got it everywhere!

Parker eating his cake with hardly a mess :)
Yesterday, Parker finally went for his 12 month well baby visit.  This was moved because he was treated for an ear infection the week he was supposed to have his check-up.  He is doing great (besides still having the ear infection-he is now on different meds).  He is saying at least 5 words we can understand and mimicking a lot more (we hear dada, mama, get down, papaw, ball, mimi, and something that sounds like hannah).  He is drinking whole milk/soy milk in a sippy cup.  Sometimes he still has a night bottle because he isn't drinking a lot during the day.  He is walking or running everywhere.  He is a BOY-playing with cars most of the day or seeing what he can get into.  He is funny and is making faces now to see if we will laugh at him.  He eats pretty good.  Vegetables are something he won't even touch, so he eats squeeze fruit/veggies.  Sleeping is hit or miss.  Last night he slept all night.  This was AMAZING, and I am hoping with the new meds this will be a common trend.

Parker is the sweetest little guy.  He loves to love on us, and I am trying to soak it up because each day he looks less and less like a baby.

Homecoming Weekend

My fall break kicked off a little early.  I took a half day on Friday and went with Lily on her preschool field trip to Whitetail Tree Farm.  We had fun seeing animals, picking out pumpkins, and riding the tractor!

Saturday, my sister and her family and two of my great friends came for homecoming.  It was such a treat because it was the first time I was meeting Carter (Sara Thomas' little guy) and Amanda's second, Lauren.  It was crazy with seven kids (a little different from our college homecoming days), but it was a lot of fun.  Hopefully, we can make it a tradition each year!

Thanks to Amanda's mom for the wonderful BSU gear for all the kids!  So cute!

It is great that, no matter how many months or years go by, we can still get together and have fun!  Love these ladies :)  Next time, though, we need to be kidless!

Amanda also brought this rug as a housewarming gift!!

FALLing Behind

I love fall-the smells, the trees, pumpkin flavored EVERYTHING!  It is so beautiful this time of year, and the last two days have been especially nice.  Sorry I am behind blogging.  I am so worn out!  Here is what we have been up to since my last blog:
  • cross country practice and 2 meets (yippee for Hannah being all conference Tuesday!)
  • sick kids (Lily got sick in the middle of the night (on the carpet) and Parker has an ear infection and his hemangioma started bleeding.  Don't worry, it is ok.  But I did call for an referral to a specialist.)
  • school work-both for Longfellow and grad school
  • not sleeping (see bullet two)
  • playing outside and taking walks
  • watching shows that are back for the season :)
  • trying to keep up with preschool...show and tell, guessing sacks, dress-up, I will never be able to handle kindergarten
  • a friend's wedding

Playing on his cars mat from the Swans.
A rare moment I am dressed nicely-for my friend's wedding.

Sara and Todd during their first dance.

Enjoying his birthday trike on a nice evening.

Yep-it's almost hunting season.  You might be a redneck if your husband turns your sunroom into a clothesline!

Lily's puffy paint pumpkins.

Watching Looney Tunes before bed.

Somebody loves brushing his teeth!

Lily loves her bubbles :)

I cannot believe the leaves are almost completely off the trees.

My mom thought we needed a blow up witch!

Love the colors!

This guy would stay outside all day if you let him!

I actually don't have a meet this weekend, so I will hopefully get caught up (or maybe do some relaxing) at home this weekend!  Have a great Friday!
