It's a BIG day!

Today is Father's Day and my 27th Birthday! We were able to celebrate with some pretty special dads yesterday (my dad (Papaw Jim), daddy Jeff, Uncle Eric, Uncle Pat, and Jeff's dad (Papaw Pat)). We had cook-outs and swam, and we even had cake for my birthday. It was a great day! Looking forward to a wonderful day today.

In just one year...

I was looking through photos and came across last summer's folder. I cannot believe how much Lily has grown! First of all, she has triple the hair (which is still just a small amount compared to some other girls her age). She is still just as smiley, though :) I can't believe how much she talks and asks questions these days!

A Day at the Klump Farm

We headed to Aurora, IN today for Jeff's cousin's graduation party. His uncle, Tom, has a farm with lots of space and animals. We have been before, but I knew Lily would have a blast this time since she is much older. She loved all the animals (even though it was very hot and muggy). She was in heaven when she got to hold the baby kittens. Congrats to Kenny on graduating from high school! Thanks for a great day!

Rainbow Fish

Lily and I have been doing some fun learning projects this summer. At story time, the teacher read the book, "Rainbow Fish." We actually have the book at home, so we got it out today. I cut out a fish template and let Lily glue pieces of colored paper onto the fish to make scales like the rainbow fish in the story. It was a lot of fun until Lily wanted to cut by herself! :)

Lily and Phoebe!

Megan, Matt and Phoebe stopped by tonight on their way home. We were so excited to see them!! Phoebe is growing and changing-still very cute :) Lily finally let us put Phoebe in her lap. After a couple minutes she said, "I'm done." It was cute to see them together.

Ranch Red Potato Salad

My aunt Bev told me a very good potato salad recipe. I tried it tonight, and I thought I would share it. I am NO cook, so if I can do it and it turns out okay, you should try it! Thanks Bev for the recipe!

Ranch Red Potato Salad

-Wash and cut one small bag of red potatoes (size of your choice).

-Boil potatoes until soft.

-Drain and rinse.

-Mix 1/4 to 1/2 packet of ranch seasoning and small container of sour cream together.

-Add potatoes.

-Mix in bacon bits and chives (or whatever toppings you can think of).

-Place in refrigerator to get cold.

-Enjoy!

It tastes great on a grill night!

Summer Break!

With how busy the end of the school was, I am so happy to just be home hanging out with Lily! Things were so crazy that I never mentioned on here that Jeff and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary last week. It is hard to believe that five years have come and gone. I guess when you are keeping up with a 2 year old, time does fly! Speaking of Lily-we were able to go to storytime yesterday. We also spent some time in the backyard. She decided her favorite "toy" is the hose. Jeff, Lily, and I enjoyed a walk around the neighborhood yesterday evening and then we got a scoop of ice cream!

Don't worry about taking Lily's swimsuit back to Ohio Aunt Sarah! It gave us good reason to shop yesterday! :) Lily actually picked this suit out.
