Well...it happened...about 17 viruses took down our home computer. This was after I had just worked on several hours of lesson plans. We took it to Best Buy, and, for $150, they are trying to save some of our files. I am hopeful that they can save all of my pictures. I will be so sad to lose the thousands of pictures we had saved! We also have to purchase a new computer. I guess that we should have backed everything up-lesson learned! So...I will get pictures up when I get the camera software loaded on a new computer.
This weekend was very busy...Sarah and Ty were in town for a wedding shower. My team had their first cross country meet (they did pretty well too!). Our niece Caitlyn has also been in town (we are praying for Jen's sister's new baby boy Jackson, who has had some major complications). Although the circumstances of her coming to stay were not good, it has been very nice to spend so much time with Caity.
School is also going pretty well. Stressful as always, but good. Jeff and Lily are great! Lily is talking more and just growing too fast. Jeff has been busy working and doing cross country projects for me-such a wonderful husband I tell you!
Take care! AND, save all of your computer information on an external hard drive! :)

Kelly and Mark's Wedding Shower
Chris with her parents and brothers and sisters
Kelly and Mark
I am so proud that my daughter can put spoons in her toes :)
Lily and I took a trip to Cincinnati today with Chris. Jeff's cousin Kelly is getting married in a few weeks, so we celebrated with family today at a wedding shower for her and her fiance Mark. It was so great to see everyone...we don't get to travel there often enough. Thanks to Aunt Marilyn for throwing such a fantastic party! We look forward to seeing everyone at the wedding!

Teaching Diaries
I have been back to school for over a week now. I forgot how exhausting it was to be in charge of some many little kids! Planning days for just one little girl all summer was nothing compared to planning 6 hours worth of educational activities for 23 third graders. Knock on wood though, this is the best start I have had to a school year. I was skeptical, but things have been very smooth and calm around the building (it must be the gallons of holy water I poured all over my classroom-LOL). I am praying that it continues to go very well. Having a brand new SmartBoard, projector, laptop, and color laser printer have also helped boost my morale :) I have been able to do some great technology activities already-that alone has allowed me to keep at least 50% of the students' attention. Cross country is in full swing. We have our first meet a week from Saturday. Coming home to Lily is the best part of my day (I also enjoy seeing Jeff). Her grandmas must be doing a good job because she has been very happy in the evenings! I hope that everyone else is doing well. Happy Friday!

We have been lucky to have family in from out of town. My Aunt Patty from California came in a couple of weeks ago. She is an author and was promoting her new book. My Aunt Mary, cousin Heather, and her daughter, Mary Elisabeth also came in from North Carolina. We had a couple of family gatherings and were able to spend some time with them. Here are some pictures from Saturday's events!

Cousins' Trip
Today, Grandma Chris, Aunt Holly, and cousin Callie took Lily to Richmond. They visited cousin Caitlyn at her grandma's house. Dan and Jen are on a vacation in Cancun, and since Caity was close, they decided to go play. Holly took all of these pictures since I couldn't be there. You will notice the matching BSU dresses that we got them!
This is what happens when you try and get 3 little girls together!
Lily thinks she is Callie's mom...always kissing, hugging or trying to feed her
School officially started for me on Tuesday. I had meetings all day to "pep" me up for the 2009-2010 school year. Today was a work day in my classroom, and tomorrow I will greet my 23 third graders. I really am praying for a successful, positive year, and I am keeping my hopes up that I will have some peace! At least I know Lily is in good hands with her grandmas :) I don't think I tell them enough how much I appreciate their willingness to take good care of Lily while I am working.
