Christmas Morning!

Lily woke up bright and early this morning (5:45 am). She wasn't feeling well, so I was a little worried about the rest of the day, but, after an episode of Little Einstein's to get her going, we opened gifts at home. Santa and Mommy and Daddy got her some clothes, pjs, Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head, Leo's Baton, Little Einstein's books and sippy cups.

After rushing around to get ready, we headed to Mass with Sarah, Pat, and Ty. Lily's aunt Holly, uncle Eric, cousin Callie, and Grandpa and Grandma Quinn were there! We headed to my parents after church for a scrumptious brunch and then more presents! Among her many gifts, Lily received a sled and boots...and Papaw and Hannah had to pull her around the house on it :) It was great to see my brothers, Aaron and Stephen, and sister-in-law Angela. We are so fortunate to have the family that we do! We are so thankful for the people in our lives who took the time to pick out something to give us. Merry Christmas!

Happy Holidays from the Quinns!

Christmas Eve

Last night, we headed to Nana's for our annual Doyle family Christmas. It really is one of the best days of the year! After eating a great dinner, the kids ran around like crazy people! Lily and Ty joined in on the fun-Lily was WILD! I guess she didn't know what to do with all of the kids around! We all opened presents, and then the babies headed home with the dads. Sarah and I stayed to spend time with our family. My cousins Elizabeth, Mara, and Olivia put together a very cute Christmas play with songs! It reminded me of what Sarah, Maria, and I used to do when we were their age (we would make all the younger cousins get in on the action too) :) The night always goes way too fast, but, as always, we had a great time. Thanks to my Nana for always putting on a great party!

One Step Closer...

Jeff has been working hard the last couple nights: mudding, sanding, stomping the ceiling, and painting! Because of his hard work, our office is coming along. Crown molding is next! More pics to come!

Potty Training

pointing to one of her potty stickers

cheesing it up!

our little ham-she won't smile normal anymore for pics!

For the last few weeks, we have been showing Lily what the potty is, and she has been using it at night when I have been home. This week, I decided to start training her to see if she would start going more. Yesterday, she peed seven times (she had one accident) in the "big" potty (she won't use the little training one I got her!) Today, we were accident free and she peed in the potty several times. We are still working on her telling me when she needs to go, but I am happy to have dry pull-ups all day from taking her! She likes the m&ms and stickers she gets! I hope it continues to go well!

Winter Break

her hair is growing out-it looks a little shabby in the process, but we are happy that she is getting some!

aunt sarah got lily a couple big girl cups...she loves them!

I was able to get Lily's hair back out of her face today!

Today has been so nice! Lily and I have been spending the day together playing and working on potty training. These breaks enable me to spend so much needed time with my little girl as well as get caught up at home.
